FAQs
Since I work with startups, I don’t maintain an hourly rate because early stage companies require fixed cost to go-to-market. After understanding the scope of work, I generally quote one fixed sum broken down into phases – each one associated with a different deliverable. Only after making progress do I unlock a new payment. This ensures that the the project does not extend forever and goes over-budget. Once the MVP is completed, I offer a variable monthly rate to keep me onboard to add additional features/iterations post launch or even scale up the technical team.
The product development journey only starts with the MVP. Once we launch, our next step is usually to collect user feedback and iterate and add features. I like to have a backlog of features and work through them month over month. Of course, I also handle any bug-fixes, maintenance, and iterations.
We can have a weekly 30 minute meeting on the books. Outside of that, you’ll have my phone number, email, and access to a private Slack channel. I commit to responding within 24 hours – though I generally respond instantly.
Yes, I have a small team of developers, designers, and testers, each with over 10 years of experience, who help me scale what I do. However, every line of code and design choice goes through me.
